Do you have a small bedroom that you would like to look bigger? Can you also stage or decorate it in a style that will make you feel calm and tranquil?
There are different ways to make your small bedroom feel larger. You could hire a consultant. Or, better yet, do it yourself! Either way, get started by looking through some interior design magazines, books, and online decorating websites.
Below are a few design tips to help you get started.
- Most importantly…DECLUTTER! Clutter does not create a peaceful environment and will make any space feel small.
- Consider using pretty shelves or cabinets to help keep your room tidy. Also invest in under the bed storage spaces or drawers. Furniture stores offer a large variety of reasonably priced, multi-functional bedroom accessories that will help with organization. Small decorative storage boxes can also have dual functionality of style and organzition.
- Also keep in mind the utility of a Murphy or a Trundle Bed. These types of beds are a perfect use for a multifunctional room like an office space that is also used as a guest bedroom.
You don’t have to give up comfort or style to keep your bedroom spaces organized and tidy. With a little creativity and the right accessories, you can make any room in your home cozy and comfy!
